Celtic Spiral
Celtic art is also one of my favourite design-styles. Here I tried to create a book-cover of an old and heavy tome, bound in leather and burinated with celtic ornaments. The arrangement is typical of platework, filling whole of the space. The outer border is dsigned by knotwork, the center fills a spiral pattern, surrounded by spiral-knotwork. The rest of space is filled above and at the bottom of each two celtic dogs (Kells-style), interwoven in knotworks. Technique: draft by black ink, scanned. Leather and burnin effects by |
